South Australian Adam Leek has become just the sixth Aussie to ever make it as a darts pro on the PDC circuit, and we know him – pretty well!

It’s not every day your mate becomes a professional darts player – in fact it’s never happened to us before and probably will never again – so we thought we’d better make the most of it.

No Bull Darts donated $1,000 to help Adam get his new life started in the UK, as well as donating a Gran Eye auto-scoring camera system to the raffle at his fundraising night at Southern Darts League at Noarlunga in Adelaide in January.

Then Whippet from No Bull Darts caught up with Adam for a drive and a chat about his whirlwind couple of weeks that saw him win his Tour Card at Q School in the UK, fly back to Australia, get his working visa, and head back to the other side of the globe to start life as a darts professional.

Adam shocked everyone – even himself a little bit – by qualifying for two years on the PDC Tour through UK Q School in January. He won his tour card on the first day of the final stage, defeating Tyler Thorpe in his final match 6-5. He won all of his last four matches that day in last leg deciders.

Watch below as Adam recounts his greatest day – winning 6 matches at Q School to claim his PDC Tour Card on 8 January 2026 …

The rise of Adam Leek across the past 12 months would be pretty mind blowing to those who follow averages and the like in Aussie darts. Leek averaged 70-75 in his local leagues such as Southern Dart League and South Australian Darts Association in Adelaide. He finished just outside the qualifying places for the first Australian Premier League held in 2025.

But at home, Adam had been consistently throwing 90+ averages for a couple of years but had not found the way to replicate that when it came to competition.

He told Whippet that was all due to what was going on in his head. He said he was putting too much pressure on himself and “talking myself out of winning a game”.

Watch below as Adam explains how he unlocked his secret to throwing better darts which took him from outside the Top 8 in Australia… all the way to the PDC Pro Tour.

Whippet then got onto some more light-hearted topics such as the time Adam met Simon Whitlock backstage at the ADA Premier League (less than a year ago) and the Wizard asked him if he played darts! Adam’s response was to grab Tim Pusey’s darts and throw a ‘look away’ 180!

We are still waiting to know what Adam’s walk on song will be when gets to play on a big stage of the PDC. He has a song in mind and teased it here…

And here Adam reveals his favourite double and favourite finishes…
