The No Bull Darts guys took soft-tip darts to the AFL Gather Round – giving hundreds of people their first glimpse of a Gran Board 3s in action.

We were set-up in the MTX Club at Adelaide Oval, where around 60 people signed up to our competition to win a Gran Board 3s for the highest Count Up score on the day.

Zach Sutherland, the Richmond fan, was the winner in the end with 542, although spare a thought for Hamish who got 541 after hitting a 2 with his last dart!

At Adelaide Oval, we had the Gran board in use for the full seven hours we were there, with plenty of kids (and some adults) choosing darts over watching the footy!

We even spotted the odd celeb in the very impressive MTX Club, including Adelaide icon Albert Bensimon (remember the Shiels Jewellers ads)! Perhaps we should have named our business No Hoo Haa Darts!

Trip McNeely from No Bull Darts delivered Zach his board – along with a set of Michael van Gerwen brass darts – later in the week. He was pumped although it wasn’t long before he was copping it from his mate Henry on Instagram. We made the point that Zach had a lot of untapped talent to throw a better score than 60+ others on the day. But Henry is convinced it was an “absolute fluke”! Guess we’ll find out when Zach sets up that Granboard and starts throwing regularly.

Hopefully there’s plenty more public demonstrations of soft-tip darts to come (including next AFL Gather Round). If you have a sporting club or an event that you think could benefit from having us come along with our portable Gran Board 3s set-up, please let us know. We’d love to keep spreading the word of the best kept secret in sport.
